Fans haven't seen Batista in the WWE for a couple of months now, but recent reports have suggested there's a possibility he could return to the ring soon.

The Animal hasn't been seen in the WWE since he returned alongside Ric Flair, Randy Orton, and Triple H as their iconic Evolution stable on SmackDown 1000 in October last year.

During their segment, Batista teased a possible match against The Game as the two squared off in the middle of the ring.

With WrestleMania 35 just around the corner, reports have started to circulate that the six-time world champion could make a comeback, and he may have already met the WWE about it.

According to PWInsider, The Animal met with officials at WWE headquarters in Stamford last Thursday.

Wrestling Inc has also noted that there's no word as to how these meetings went, but Batista was "50/50 on returning at this point" based on how the talks with WWE have gone recently.

The Animal has reportedly been talking to All Elite Wrestling about compete for them too, but given his close relationship with WWE, it seems unlikely he'd join the promotion.

Match with The Game

If Batista was to return to the WWE in time for a match at WrestleMania 35, there's obviously only one person he would face, Triple H.

Many thought the match would be booked following their confrontation on SmackDown 1000 last year. However, it was thrown into jeopardy for a bit after The Game injured his pectoral at Crown Jewel last November.

Triple H was cleared to return to training back in mid-January, meaning the bout at this year's Showcase of the Immortals could be back on. It could also be one last hurrah in the wrestling career of Batista as well.

The Animal is scheduled to start filming the 'Dune' movie in March, but this hasn't ruled him out of an in-ring return just yet, so there's still a chance he could compete at WrestleMania.

The six-time world champion has previously said as well that he sees himself calling it a day on his wrestling career in 2019 as he doesn't want to overstay his welcome.

Batista's last WWE match was at Payback in 2014 when he teamed with Triple H and Orton in a loss to The Shield. The following night on Raw, he quit the WWE.

It looks as though Batista and WWE have met to try and help The Animal end his wrestling career the right way with a match vs Triple H at WrestleMania. Fans will be keeping their fingers crossed that they're able to come to an agreement for the clash to happen.
