Arsene Wenger will forever be a Premier League legend. The Frenchman became manager of Arsenal in 1996 and would stay at the helm for 22 years. He would enjoy great success in that position, winning three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups.He also lead Arsenal to an unbeaten Premier League campaign in 2003/04, the first time that has ever been done in a 38-game season. His time at the club finally came to an end last year but, he will always be remembered fondly at the north London outfit. As one of the best managers in the world, Wenger would no doubt have had offers from the world's very best clubs during his stay at Arsenal. His name has been linked to Real Madrid in the past and, Wenger confirmed on Wednesday that he has previously been the subject of interest from the club. But why would Wenger reject them? When Los Blancos come calling, it would be very difficult to turn them down. However, Wenger has said he rejected them 'more than once' due to his loyalty to Arsenal."I turned Madrid down more than once," he revealed on BeIN Sports.Asked whether loyalty had stopped him trading Arsenal for Spain, the Frenchman said: "Yes. It was in the middle of a project."We built the stadium, we had to pay it back, and I guaranteed that I would stay, and I'm quite happy with my decision."Despite now being out of a job, Wenger said it is now too late to manage the club."Now it's over for me," he added. "But you ask any manager in the world, they would be interested in managing the biggest club in the world. Everyone would say it's the biggest club in the world."

True class from Wenger.

The Frenchman clearly had ambitions to manage the 'biggest club in the world', but he turned them down down to loyalty to Arsenal.

Many Arsenal fans praised their long-time manager after hearing his revelation.
