Sergio Ramos seemingly landed himself in trouble with his comments after Real Madrid’s 2-1 win against Ajax on Wednesday.Just minutes after Marco Asensio’s late goal handed Los Blancos the advantage, Ramos got himself booked after producing an unnecessary challenge on Kasper Dolberg.Ramos was immediately called out by the BT Sport commentators for trying to get himself booked deliberately. A yellow card would mean a suspension for the second leg and a clean slate for the quarter-finals.And the centre-back was about to get away with it - until he admitted it was a deliberate act."Looking at the result, I'd be lying if I said I didn't force it,” Ramos said in the mixed zone, per Marca."It's something I was thinking about."Ramos later took to Twitter to plead his innocence but the damage may already be done.

Ramos made a gesture to Real's bench

Dani Carvajal received a two-game ban for the exact same thing last season. The right-back was booked against APOEL, ensuring he would miss a dead rubber against Borussia Dortmund.

But UEFA considered it a deliberate booking and he would miss the first leg of Real’s last 16 clash.

So with Carvajal being punished, it seems likely that Ramos will be too.

His case looks even weaker now as footage of the Real captain apparently asking his coaches whether he should get a yellow card has emerged.

The clip, shown by ‘El Golazo de GOL’ and brought to our attention by Marca, shows Ramos making a sly card gesture towards the bench and asking: “La busco?”, which translates to: “I look for it?”

Looks like you’re in trouble, Sergio.

Should he receive a two-match ban like Carvajal did, he would miss the return leg against Ajax and a potential quarter-final first leg in April.
