Last month, Chelsea confirmed a deal that will see Christian Pulisic move from Borussia Dortmund for £58 million.
The American already has a high stock in Europe, hence his price tag.
But Wednesday night gave fans Blues who don't follow the Bundesliga too closely a chance to scout their latest signing.
The forward was named in Dortmund's starting lineup against Tottenham in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie.
Chelsea fans were interested to see how Pulisic fared against Spurs, a team that he'll come up against a lot during the next stage of his career.
Unfortunately, his team suffered a 3-0 defeat as goals from Heung-min Son, Jan Vertonghen and Fernando Llorente gave the north London side a commanding lead to take into the second leg.
But the 3-0 loss can't be pinned solely on Pulisic and following the game, his highlights have emerged and it's pretty fair to say there are some promising signs.
At times, the 20-year-old showed off his explosive pace, a good range of passing and the confidence to take on defenders.

So, how did his performance go down with Chelsea fans? Well, it actually seemed to split the fanbase.
Some were impressed with his flashes of brilliance, while others were left questioning if he was worth the £58 million fee.
Fans who aren't sure on Pulisic will get another chance to see him in action next month when Dortmund and Spurs meet again for the second leg of their Champions League tie.News Now - Sport News
