Barcelona were far from their best during the clash with Real Valladolid this weekend.

In the end, it was a Lionel Messi penalty that separated the affair and it didn't exactly inspire the Camp Nou crowd before their Champions League tie with Lyon.

If it was any consolation, though, the Blaugrana should have won by a far wider scoreline and the fact Messi proceeded to miss his second spot kick was the clearest indication of that.

However, there were plenty of Barcelona fans pointing the finger at Luis Suarez, who had a second-half to forget against the Pucela.

The 32-year-old has dipped in and out of form at Barcelona ever since his remarkable season in 2015-16, where he bagged no less than 59 goals in just 53 appearances.

Suarez had actually been in decent form recently and still boasts a tally of 16 goals, but he just couldn't find the net to save his life on Saturday night.

In fact, the Uruguayan missed four clear goalscoring opportunities in the space of 30 minutes and the vast majority of them were put on a plate by Messi himself.

The misses were a major source of frustration for supporters and Twitter user 'Lionel10ii' took it upon himself to compile all of Suarez's worst moments in the same video.

The Barcelona fan wrote in his caption: "In just 30 minutes he managed to miss FOUR (4) big chances. I love him but it’s time to accept that he is not good enough for Barcelona anymore."

Pretty strong words and to get their point across even clearer, the damning footage has been set to a warped version of 'Take On Me' by a-ha.

Depending on your viewpoint, it makes for both amusing and frustrating viewing - take a look below:

Oh dear, Luis.

It documents him missing a clear one-on--one opportunity, fluffing a volley from a few yards out, misplacing passes in the midfield and even producing a contender for worst first touch of the season.

Even when you remove the missed chances from the equation, it was still a disappointing showing and especially when you consider he was only on the pitch for 30 minutes.

All that considered, it's no wonder that Gerard Pique thinks the team needs to raise their game or face slipping on a potential banana skin in mid-week.

“We didn't play well," the centre-back conceded after the win. “It was not a good performance. We weren't the Barcelona that we want to be.

"The only good news is the win, getting back to winning ways, but we have to improve. The sensations aren't good and we must be better on Tuesday If not, things won't go well.”

Suarez actually finding the net would be a good place to start.
