It's already been an eventful campaign across Europe's top five leagues this season.

The Premier League title race is hotting up very nicely with Liverpool and Manchester City exchanging blows, while Barcelona are having to ward off fresh challenges from Atletico and Real Madrid.

There's also plenty of tension in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund holding just a two point advantage over Bayern Munich, although the same can't be said about Serie A and Ligue 1.

Both Juventus and Paris-Saint Germain looked nailed on to retain their domestic titles with Napoli and Lille both trailing by sizeable margins.

The standout individual performers have been the usual suspects with both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo boasting remarkable statistics and hoarding records by the month.

Wow. A huge margin of victory for Messi.

Not only does the Barcelona star have more goals than any of his European football rivals, but the joint most assists alongside Hazard and the understandably goal-shy Kimmich.

Ronaldo also boasts some incredibly impressive data and there's no shame in coming second amongst such a talented field of players, while Mbappe reiterates his pure brilliance with a bronze medal.

Perhaps some of the most admirable showings come from Pepe and Quagliarella, though, who are really making noise in Serie A.

Salah delivers the highest goal involvement out of everyone in the Premier League but Hazard and Sterling are particularly impressive when it comes to assists.

However, break it down anyway you like and it seems impossible to dethrone Messi from the top.
