We're not even a month into the NFL offseason and there's already heavy talks about Odell Beckham Jr's future with the New York Giants.

The Athletic's Jay Glazer's bold prediction for the Giants this offseason was that they would trade Beckham.

Since he made this prediction, further reports emerged about the wide receiver's future.

NBC's Chris Simms reported that the New England Patriots were 'aggressively pursuing' the 26-year-old ahead of last season's trade deadline in October.

However, more reports have revealed they weren't the only team that has had a heavy interest in the Giants star over the past year.

Beckham to the Bay?

According to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, the San Francisco 49ers 'have had real interest' in acquiring Odell Beckham 'for nearly a year' now.

He also reported that the Los Angeles Rams had interest last year in trading for Beckham, but instead made a deal for Brandin Cooks with the Patriots.

If they wanted to renew their interest this offseason, Florio has suggested the Rams could offer someone like Robert Woods to the Giants as part of the package.

It might be odd for New York to trade Beckham away this offseason since they only offered him a huge contract extension last summer.

However, it's well known that Odell has annoyed the Giants' coaching staff in the past with his off-field chatter and open criticism at times of the team's play-calling.

There's also no smoke without fire, so it will be interesting to see how this story develops.

49ers' WR need

The 49ers have already been heavily linked to another wide receiver this offseason in the unsettled Pittsburgh Steelers star Antonio Brown.

Both Beckham and Brown would drastically improve the Niners at wide receiver and be a true number one for their quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo.

However, at this stage of their careers, Beckham is the more valuable receiver than Brown, and therefore could be more difficult for the 49ers to land in a trade.

San Francisco needs a star at wideout in order to battle against the Rams and the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC West next season. Both Beckham and Brown would fit the bill perfectly.
