Barcelona were poor by their usual standards during Tuesday night's 0-0 draw away to Lyon in the Champions League last 16.

Despite Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele all starting at the Groupama Stadium, the Blaugrana were simply unable to find the back of the net.

Barca had 24 shots at goal but only found the target five times. Suarez was the main culprit for missed chances.

But with the second leg due to be played at the Camp Nou in three weeks' time, Barcelona are the outright favourites to reach the quarter-finals.

Gerard Pique - who had a good game in France - spoke to reporters afterwards and said that he's "content" with the draw because he knows they'll be better on March 13.

"The team has improved, although we must still do more," said Pique, per Marca. "We had chances and it's true that it was tough when we tried to score.

"But I am generally content. I think we've improved, but we can improve even more. The truth is that we weren't clinical up front, but that doesn't overly worry me.

"Those up front have shown over their careers that they can score lots of goals and the ball will end up going in. Luis Suarez always scores a lot for us and will keep doing so."

Pique mainly spoke about the Lyon game in his post-match interview, but one member of the press randomly asked him about Real Madrid.

It's been a while since Pique fired shots at Barcelona's rivals and he couldn't resist taking another dig at their relationship with referees.

"It happens in basketball and in football," said Pique when asked about Los Blancos' tendency to complain about decisions.

"Then they go to the Wanda Metropolitano and they're quiet for a while after what happened there.

"It's a good thing they don't do other sports, like handball or hockey, as they'd complain about those, too."

Pique was referring to Real's 3-1 win over Atletico Madrid earlier this month, where they undoubtedly had the rub of the green when it came to refereeing decisions.

Real were awarded a penalty for a foul that appeared to be outside the area, while Alvaro Morata was denied a spot-kick when Casemiro pushed him.

Clearly Pique still feels bias is shown towards Real in Spain and his latest comments will no doubt open a new can of worms.
