WWE's plans for Lacey Evans has her reaching incredible heights in the company

Recently, Lacey Evans has been given some unusual booking by WWE, but it's all for a reason, as the company has big plans for her in 2019.

On Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live this week, as well as at the Elimination Chamber, Evans has been walking down the ramp to the ring, only to turn around again and walk back up to the ramp to backstage, confusing fans in the process.

This is all being done to try and entice the fans to boo The Lady of WWE, as the company has big plans for her moving forward, according to reports.

Big Three

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, via Ringside News, has stated that WWE wants Lacey to be one of the top three women in the WWE alongside Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch when Ronda Rousey leaves the company.

Meltzer said: “Lacey Evans — you have no idea how big they want Lacey Evans to be. You know we talked about Asuka and Lacey Evans which I don’t think is going to happen, but that was the idea.

“Right now the idea is that you know when Ronda leaves whenever that will be […] the big three will be Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Lacey Evans. Which is you know is kind of a shock and she may not make it, but that’s where they see things.”

As big as Roman Reigns

The Wrestling Observer Radio host went on to add that WWE wants the Lady of WWE to be as big as Roman Reigns.

“They see her as someone they can promote mainstream because of what she’s done in life being a mother all the different things in her background.

"They just see her as a big-time star, a big-time crossover star. So she’s gonna be you know, she’s the Roman Reigns in a lot of ways […] I mean that’s the goal.”

Evans' backstory is great for WWE in terms of storyline booking, as she's a former Marine, she has a family, and her Classy Lady gimmick is fresh.

The Lady of WWE has also been through tough times as her home was wrecked by a recent hurricane. You know WWE is going to try and find a way to include this in a future storyline.

With rumours swirling around as well stating that Evans could have a SmackDown Women's Championship match against Asuka at WrestleMania 35, it will be interesting to see how she is booked in the next few weeks.
