On Tuesday, Anthony Joshua came out swinging against his critics regarding his reluctance to consider a bout with Tyson Fury.Joshua, the heavyweight champion of the world, has had to endure almost endless criticism in recent weeks from fans and media alike for choosing to fight Jarrell Miller instead of higher pedigree fighters such as Deontay Wilder or Fury.Clearly frustrated, Joshua was triggered into firing a fresh shot of criticism at Fury's current status in the sport during a press conference to promote his June fight with Jarrell Miller.“Fury’s been a professional for eleven years. He’s had one good win against Klitschko and now he's a boxing God,” AJ said.Since Joshua's uncharacteristic rant to the media, Tyson Fury’s trainer Ben Davison has responded through his Twitter account.Obviously still fighting Fury's corner, Davison hit back to defend his fighter. In the first of a series of responses, he tweeted: “And doesn’t even show his English, British and Commonwealth titles which he was winning while Joshua was still boxing in a vest (baring in mind there only a year apart in age).”“I know he’s won a world title from an elite world champion. The longest reigning champion in history.”

“Exactly that’s my point. The argument of who’s achieved on in time comparison is a pointless argument.”

Before this latest exchange between the Joshua and Fury camps, Joshua copped a tongue lashing from his upcoming opponent in New York.

The challenger, Miller, known for his outlandish comments, accused Joshua of being exempt from Testosterone testing and even pushed the Brit in the pair's first official face-off.

Even though Joshua has made his decision, it is understood that a Fury and Deontay Wilder fight may still happen in the future, with negotiations between the two on-going after their first bout ended in a controversial draw late last year.
