Hachim Mastour was the next big thing six years ago.The Moroccan became a YouTube sensation when a compilation video of his best skills went viral. At the time, he was playing for Reggina in Italy.Suddenly, plenty of European giants wanted him.It was AC Milan that beat the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City to his signature in 2012, signing the then-14-year-old for €500,000.Shortly afterward, he was asked by Red Bull to do a skills video alongside Neymar. The official video racked up almost 10 million views.Mastour was just 15 when he was named on the Milan bench by manager Clarence Seedorf. But what has happened since?

He had a very brief loan spell at Malaga during the 2015/16 campaign, making just one appearance.

He then joined PEC Zwolle for the 2016/17 season but played just six times.

And there’s now been an update on the mysterious Mastour.

He had been at Greek side PAS Lamia, who are ninth in the top tier.

However, the club are now claiming that Mastour had ‘disappeared’ after going two months without being seen.

His camp, led by agent Mino Raiola, have told Gazzetta dello Sport that the 20-year-old has returned to Milan because he’s recovering from a thigh injury.

But they report that Mastour returned to the Italian capital without permission and ‘looks to have reached a point of no return' despite being contracted until 2021.

Incidentally, Mastour's deal at the San Siro actually expired last summer but it feels they're still keeping tabs on him for now.

Oh dear.

What next for the youngster considered to have the world at his feet?

Well, it seems Gennaro Gattuso won’t put up for any of his tricks and flicks if he does somehow turn his career around and return to Milan.

“I even threatened him because he became more famous for making videos than playing, but he doesn’t do that anymore because I told him I’d knock his teeth out!” Gattuso said last May.
