The news broke earlier this week that Roman Reigns will return to Monday Night Raw to 'update the fans on his progress' as he battles leukaemia.

The former WWE and Universal Champion has been gone for four months now after an emotional departing statement and embrace with his former Shield brothers Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.

Reigns has actually been pretty active whilst being out of the ring and assumingly undergoing treatment during that period.

His cousin Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson gave him a role in the Fast & Furious spin-off movie Hobbs & Shaw and a few months ago Reigns was also pictured with another man with Samoan heritage, former heavyweight champion boxer Joseph Parker.

No-one really expected Reigns to re-emerge in the spotlight so soon, so it was a bit of a surprise to see him announced for the upcoming episode of Raw in Atlanta.

And the fact he's also been booked for an appearance on Good Morning America in New York City the following morning can really only mean that Reigns is going to give a positive update, right?

Well a personal trainer based in Hawaii may have just given the game away when it comes to what Reigns is going to tell the fans this Monday.

David Gonyea stated on his Instagram account that Reigns had been working out at his gym, and that he was 'glad we provided a great space to help him prepare for his in ring return'.

Maybe too much is being read into his post, but it seems like Reigns could be back in the ring sooner rather than later.

It would make sense as to why he's making appearances on both WWE television and a huge American morning show; and could he potentially be at WrestleMania?

That may come too soon, but he could end up playing a role in the storyline between Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar.

If one thing is for certain though it's that Reigns will get a tremendous reaction when he steps through the curtain this Monday for the first time in four months.
