Claude Puel has officially been sacked as Leicester City manager.
The Telegraph's John Percy understood that the French coach had been relieved of his services on Sunday morning; a report that was eventually corroborated by Sky Sources.
It seems the 4-1 thrashing against Crystal Palace was the straw that broke the camel's back, confining Leicester to their fourth consecutive home defeat.
Despite a brief renaissance around Christmas, it's been a tough season for Leicester and they've won just four games at the King Power Stadium this season.
The club wrote on their official website: "The Club would like to thank Claude for his efforts in leading the team during his 16 months in the role and wish him well in his future career.

"Assistant Manager Jacky Bonnevay also departs with the Club’s best wishes.
"First Team Coaches Mike Stowell and Adam Sadler, supported by the Club’s established backroom staff, will assume responsibility for the senior squad while the Club begins the process of appointing a new manager.
"The Board will make no further comment until this process is complete."
The cause and who next?
It's been a topsy-turvy few months for Leicester, who have suffered disappointing defeats to Cardiff City and Southampton, producing their worst home form in 19 years.
The FA Cup elimination to League Two Newport County was another low-point for a manager who had been losing the backing of his own supporters.
What made the situation all the more bemusing were the exciting results that came amongst all the disappointment - wins against Chelsea and Manchester City as well as the draw at Liverpool.
Nevertheless, questions raised about the style of football by fans and even players like Jamie Vardy, seemingly forced Leicester to make their decision.
In the words of BBC Sport's Simon Stone: "Decision taken by Aiyawatt 'Top' Srivaddhanaprabha. Could see no likelihood of meaningful progress."
Some of the managers linked at this early stage include Rafael Benitez and Brendan Rodgers.
