Jorginho commits one of the quickest fouls in football history during Carabao Cup final

Jorginho fouled Sergio Aguero after just a second in the Carabao Cup final

Chelsea went into the Carabao Cup final as huge underdogs.

It's been just a few weeks since Manchester City dismantled the west London side 6-0 at the Etihad Stadium.

It was one of the most embarrassing results in Chelsea's history as they were completely outclassed.

The Blues have not been convincing ever since that result, too.

Just days later, Chelsea were dumped out of the FA Cup at the hands of Manchester United.

Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba both scored first half goals as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men won 2-0.

Those results mean Maurizio Sarri's side would have been hurting leading up to the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium.

Maurizio Sarri would have wanted his side to react positively to their recent disappointments.

The Italian manager would have fired up his players, and that was displayed just a few seconds after the first whistle.

Despite Chelsea having the kick-off, Jorginho almost immediately gave away a foul as he collided with Sergio Aguero.

There must have been only a second or two on the clock when the foul was given.

Watch it below:

That may well be the quickest foul in football history.

Sarri would have wanted a reaction from his side, but that is probably not the one he was looking for.

Chelsea would go on to put in a spirited display as they frustrated their opponents.

They looked a transformed side to the team that lost 6-0 to Man City just a few weeks ago.

There were no goals in the opening 90 minutes, meaning the game will have to be won in extra time.
