The Carabao Cup final was largely a drab affair.Chelsea and Manchester City cancelled each other out for large periods as both sides struggled to create goal scoring opportunities. However, with just two minutes of extra time to go, the game sprung into life.Kepa Arrizabalaga had a problem with his hamstring in the final stages. He went down numerous times and, after going down with just minutes to spare, Maurizio Sarri decided that he had to act.Sarri tried to replace the Spanish goalkeeper with Willy Caballero but, amazingly, Kepa decided he wasn't having any of it.Kepa refused to come off and eventually Sarri relented.Watch the moment below:

Extraordinary. Understandably, Sarri was furious as a result of his goalkeeper's behaviour.

He had to be held back by Antonio Rudiger at the end of extra-time.

Kepa then winked at full-time, which has just added fuel to the fire...

Chelsea would go on to lose on penalties, with Raheem Sterling striking the winning spot-kick for Man City.

But the incident revolving Kepa's refusal to come off will go on for a very long time.

John Terry was working as a pundit for Sky Sports and he was asked to give his take on the incident after the game.

And Terry sided with Sarri, saying Kepa's actions were 'disappointing'.

"Once your number goes up you have to come off and show a bit of respect,” Terry said, per the Independent. “Deal with that after. That’s the last thing the players want.

"It’s certainly not the end of it it’s clouded a good performance. It’s taken the shin off a good performance, it’s disappointing. We’ll see what happens."

Surely most football fans will agree with the former Chelsea captain.

Another former Chelsea player, Chris Sutton, spoke out against Kepa and even said that he should be sacked.

"Kepa should never play for Chelsea again," he said on BBC Radio 5 Live, per the Metro. "That should be his last performance in a Chelsea shirt.

"He’s a disgrace. I’ve never seen anything like it. If I was Sarri I would walk. You cannot be undermined.

"Why weren’t the players dragging Kepa off anyway? Kepa should be sacked, not Sarri."
