Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has turned things around at Manchester United since taking over from Jose Mourinho in December.

The interim manager has taken charge of 14 games, winning 11 of them and losing just once in the Champions League to Paris Saint-Germain.

That's certainly an impressive run and it's one that has seen The Red Devils get back on track in the Premier League.

Following Mourinho's final match in charge, a 3-1 loss to Liverpool, United sat in sixth place, 11 points behind the top four.

Flash forward a couple of months and Solskjaer's rejuvenated side are now just one point behind fourth-placed Arsenal, pushing for a Champions League qualification spot.

Plenty of players have suddenly burst into life since The Special One's departure, with the likes of Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford staking claims to be named the club's Player of the Year.

Those two, in particular, have been brilliant recently. But according to Romelu Lukaku, another player deserves to win the coveted individual award.

Speaking after Sunday's match against Liverpool, the Belgian striker claimed that Luke Shaw has been United's Player of the Year so far.

"Luke Shaw has been the best player of the season for me," Lukaku told reporters after the 0-0 draw, per Man United's official website.

"He has been brilliant since the start. He scored in the first game of the season against Leicester City and he has never looked back."

On top of praising Shaw's season, Lukaku believes that his teammate has the potential to become one of the best left-backs in the world.

"He has always had the potential of being one of the best left-backs in the world, from the time when I used to play against him when he was at Southampton to now," the striker continued.

"He has had his injuries but he’s playing regularly now and I am really happy for him. I hope he is going to keep on delivering."

That's very high praise from Lukaku, who clearly believes his teammate can kick on from this season and become one of the best defenders in football.
