Before Neymar swapped Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017, the Catalan side had the most fearsome front three in world football.

The Brazilian winger was part of a trio that saw him play with Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi.

In three seasons, "MSN" as they were commonly known, scored an incredible 364 goals between them in all competitions for Barca.

Neymar himself netted 90 of the goals during that time, plus 15 more in the 2013/14 campaign before Suarez arrived at the Nou Camp.

Scoring 15 times in his first year after joining from Santos proves that even for a player of Neymar's quality, swapping Brazil for Spain wasn't easy - he didn't quite hit the ground running.

Luckily for him though, Messi was on hand to make his arrival as comfortable as possible.

Neymar may be playing at PSG now, but he was recently asked about how his former teammate helped him adjust to life at Barca.

"It's a story I tell everyone. At the time when I needed the most support, the man on the team, the best in the world, came and gave me love," Neymar told Globo Esporte, per Goal.

"Leo was a very special guy for me at Barcelona."

As well as opening up about his admiration for Messi, Neymar also revealed the advice the Argentine gave him when he arrived.

"He talked to me and said: '[When you] come here, you must be yourself, you must be happy and the same as in Santos.

"Do not be shy, do not be afraid of me or anyone in this club. We are here to help you."

By the sounds of things, Messi is a model professional, both on and off the pitch.

When the greatest player in the world offers his support to a new signing, no matter who it is, that's bound to boost everybody's confidence. No wonder MSN formed such a deadly trio.
