Roman Reigns opened up this week's Monday Night Raw and gave WWE fans news which they have been dying to hear for the past couple of months.Reigns' appearance on Raw last night was his first appearance in the WWE since he announced last October that he was suffering from leukaemia and would need to take time away from the ring to treat it.The Big Dog made his entrance to a huge cheer by WWE fans at the top of the show. He then took a mic to deliver a message to the WWE Universe in the middle of the ring.Just four months after he announced leukaemia would force him to the sidelines and vacate the Universal Championship, Reigns announced that his cancer was in remission and that he would be returning to the ring immediately. The former Universal Champion thanked the WWE Universe for their support before they broke out into a 'Yes!' chant. Seth Rollins then joined him on the ramp and the two embraced to close the segment.

Many WWE fans and superstars reacted to the segment on Raw after it finished, but John Cena arguably had the best reaction of them all.

Cena's reaction

Speaking on his Twitter account, the 16-time world champion praised The Big Dog for his strength in his battle, as well as stating that his time was now.

Cena said: "Real superheroes exist. Back and with strength and purpose! It’s your yard Roman. Your time is most certainly NOW!"

Other superstars were happy to see The Big Dog back in the WWE on Raw.

Later on in the night, Reigns would make another appearance, as he would run to the ring alongside Rollins to save Dean Ambrose from an attack from Elias, Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin, and Bobby Lashley.

This has lead to reports that the former Universal Champion's first match back in the WWE could be at Fastlane next month alongside his Shield brothers.

Speculation has suggested he could be booked in an eight-man match as part of The Shield with Braun Strowman vs Elias, McIntyre, Corbin, and Lashley.
