Gareth Bale's future at Real Madrid is facing a stern examination right now.The Welshman has been criticised in the press by teammates Thibaut Courtois and Marcelo for failing to adapt to life in the Spanish capital.Add that to his disastrous injury record with Los Blancos and constantly fluctuating form, a path to the exit door is looking ever more likely.Even after Cristiano Ronaldo's exit in the summer, Bale is far from a guaranteed starter under Santiago Solari.Vinicius Junior and Lucas Vazquez appear to be his first-choice wide men, with Karim Benzema the focal point of his attack.

Bale has been a substitute in Real's last two La Liga games against Girona and Levante, playing just 40 minutes in total.

However, he did come off the bench away at Levante to score the match-winning penalty, but his celebration was what made all the headlines after.

Bale looked glum as he trudged back to the half-way line, shrugging off Vazquez in the process.

But the initial camera angle on television didn't tell the whole story, with new footage showing Bale making amends to his teammates in the seconds after, per AS.

Bale embraces Nacho Fernandez and Dani Carvajal, has a chat with Luka Modric and then acknowledges Vazquez after his initial snub.

While Bale's situation is not ideal, perhaps his actions towards Vazquez have been blown a tad out of proportion.

On the pitch, the former Tottenham man has been pretty productive, scoring seven goals and recording two assists in just 1260 minutes of La Liga action.

In the Champions League, Bale also has three goals and two assists in his six appearances so far.

Solari has stated in the media that there is no issue with the winger and he may still have an opportunity to fix his current situation at the Bernabeu.
