WWE shocked fans in the main event of Monday Night Raw this week, as Batista returned and attacked his longtime mentor, Ric Flair.Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, Sting, and Ricky Steamboat were all in the ring during Raw's main event to celebrate The Nature Boy's 70th birthday. However, when they called Ric out to come to the ring, he didn't come, as he had been attacked backstage and dragged out of his private locker room by the returning Batista. The Animal then looked at the camera and said: "Hey Hunter. Do I have your attention now?" which caused The Game to go running towards backstage after him as the show ended.Later on Twitter, Flair sent a message to Batista saying he would regret crashing his birthday party.

He said: "I Want To Thank @WWE For Throwing Such A Wonderful Birthday Celebration With Some Of My Closest Friends. As For @DaveBautista… Be Careful Whose Party You Crash, Big Man! #WOOOOO"

The Animal has since responded to The Nature Boy, as he said: "Party’s just gettin started my man 😎"

Just like that, a WrestleMania program was born, but in truth, it's been in the making for a long time.

This was the first time the six-time world champion had been seen in the WWE since he appeared in the ring alongside Triple H, Flair, and Randy Orton as Evolution during SmackDown 1000.

He also teased a match with The Game here, but The Nature Boy cooled them both down.

However, it looks like Batista and Triple H will meet in the ring later this year for a match at WrestleMania 35. A match that could potentially be The Animal's last before retirement as well.

It will be interesting to see as well if Ric is included in the storyline moving forward between Triple H and Batista over the next couple of weeks.
