Barcelona booked their place in the Copa del Rey final with a convincing 3-0 win away at Real Madrid on Wednesday night. It was all to play for after the semi-final first leg at the Camp Nou finished 1-1 earlier this month, but it was Barça who progress thanks to an impressive victory in the Spanish capital.Following a goalless first half, Luis Suarez broke the deadlock in the 50th minute. A Raphael Varane own goal then made it 2-0 to the visitors before Suarez wrapped up a 3-0 win with a cheeky Panenka penalty.Despite his side’s impressive win, though, Barça boss Ernesto Valverde believes his team could have played better."They were better in the first half and we lacked offensive intent which we can't do in the game," he was quoted as saying by Marca.

”We lost the ball in bad areas and it could have cost us a goal. It was not a well-rounded game from us, I have to admit

"Today we scored three goals but didn't have many chances. Other times, it is the other way around.”

Two of Barça’s goals were made by Ousmane Dembele, who took Real Madrid full-back Dani Carvajal to the cleaners at one point during the match.

Faced up against the experienced defender, Dembele left his opponent with twisted blood without even touching the ball.

Taxi for Carvajal!

Lionel Messi, who had an uncharacteristically quiet game, would have been proud of that little shimmy.

Here’s how football fans on Twitter reacted to Dembele leaving Carvajal on the deck…

While Dembele had a good game - well, good second half, anyway - it was the performance of Real Madrid’s teenage sensation Vinicius Jr that really caught the eye.

The Brazilian may have been on the losing team, but he didn’t deserve to be.
