UFC 235 is now in the books and with it, a new champion was crowned in Kamaru Usman.Although he won the fight via decision, Usman dominated Tyron Woodley to win their co-main event fight at UFC 235 and become the new UFC Welterweight Champion. The Nigerian Nightmare may have gone the distance, but he dictated most of the bout, as he scored a 17:51 control time in a 25-minute fight.Unfortunately, the judges’ scores at T-Mobile Arena didn't show just how one-sided the fight was, as their scores were 50-44, 50-44, and 50-45.Usman's victory over Woodley was the first time in UFC history that a fighter from Africa had been crowned UFC Champion.

The new UFC Welterweight Champion said after the fight, via ESPN: "I'll be honest, I might not be the best striker or best wrestler in the world.

"But when it comes to mixing this s--- up, I'm the best f---ing welterweight on the planet right now."

Many UFC fans on Twitter after the fight were talking about the sheer dominance from The Nigerian Nightmare, as well as how The Chosen One was not looking like himself in the octagon.

There were quite a few fans though that couldn't help but mock Woodley for his performance at UFC 235.

Woodley calls fight a bad dream

Woodley even acknowledged himself that he wasn't his usual self vs Usman.

He said: "Kamaru came out and brought it. It felt like a bad dream. You want to throw punches, you see opportunities, but you don't take them.

"He came out prepared and had a great game plan. Really heavy on top. Hat's off to him. I have no excuses. I was ready for this fight. Hopefully, we can run it back."

The Chosen One had been UFC Welterweight Champion since August 2016, and prior to last night's defeat, he had a seven-fight unbeaten streak.

Usman praises Woodley

Usman showed his opponent in the octagon the respect he deserved despite Woodley not looking like his usual self.

The Nigerian said, via MMA Fighting: “Give it up for Tyron give it up to him, when you talk greatest welterweights of all time that man is in the conversation."

Usman has now improved to a professional record of 15-1. He’s now won his last 14 fights and is 10-0 in the UFC.

Woodley now moves to a professional record of 19-4-1 and will be looking for a rematch in order to try and win the UFC Welterweight title back.

However, it's currently unclear as to how quickly he'll get a rematch due to Colby Covington, who will receive his title shot against Usman first.
