Stone Cold sends Kevin Owens some tips on how to improve his Stunner

Kevin Owens debuted a new finisher on SmackDown Live earlier this week, the iconic Stunner made famous worldwide by Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Owens returned to WWE this week on SmackDown and competed in the main event of the show in a tag team match alongside Kofi Kingston vs Daniel Bryan and Rowan.

The Prizefighter won the fight for his team after he hit a Stunner on the WWE Champion and pinned him. It wasn't the first time he performed the Stunner, but it was the first time he used it successfully as his finisher.

The former Universal Champion notified The Texas Rattlesnake after the match that he managed to use the Stunner effectively, to which the WWE Hall of Famer praised him.

However, Stone Cold doesn't want Owens to start getting complacent.

Austin recently retweeted a fan talking about his Stunner on Scott Hall at WrestleMania 18, sending a message to Owens in the process.

He said: "This Stunner was a total shoot. I was happy @SCOTTHALLNWO was ok after this. Pay attention @FightOwensFight."

Owens' response

The Prizefighter acknowledged Stone Cold's message and promised to put in the work.

He said: "I think I have a good handle on beating people with the Stunner now but I might need you to teach me first-hand how to shoot another man into space with it... I’ll keep studying this clip until then."

It's unclear if the Stunner is Owens' new finisher moving forward, replacing the Pop-up Powerbomb, but WWE fans will not have to wait too long to see if this is the case.

Owens could very well use the Stunner at some point during his WWE Championship match against Daniel Bryan next weekend at Fastlane.

WWE fans were shocked earlier in the week when Vince McMahon announced not only the return of Owens to the blue brand, but also that he would be taking Kingston's place in the WWE title match at Fastlane.

Well have to wait and see if he captures the WWE title at Fastlane, but here's to hoping there are plenty more Stunners from The Prizefighter to come.
