Klopp blames the wind
Klopp has produced a number of bizarre excuses whenever Liverpool have stumbled this season, including a dry pitch following a 2-2 draw against West Brom and too much snow after the 1-1 draw against Leicester in January.
And he brought out one of his favourites in his post-match interview after Sunday’s draw - the wind.
Klopp blamed the wind after Liverpool were beaten by Wolves in the FA Cup, and he believes it played a part in his side’s failure to defeat Everton.
"It was a very, very difficult game for different reasons... I know people don't like me saying it but the wind was coming from all directions today,” he told Sky Sports.
“It was really difficult to play any kind of football out there."
He was swiftly mocked on Twitter...
It’s a strange excuse. It’s even more bizarre when you think that Liverpool and Everton play in the same city.
If he's trying to deflect the attention away from his players, he's done a very good job.
