Gareth Bale was a talking point once again following Saturday's Claisco. The Welshman has struggled for form this season and has consistently been named on the bench. However, he was recalled to the starting line-up for Real Madrid's vital La Liga clash against Barcelona this weekend.Los Blancos knew they could close the gap to six points with a win over their fierce rivals.Santago Solari thought that Bale could make an impact and trusted him from the start.

However, the former Tottenham player put in a poor performance.

His errant free-kick after just a couple of minutes set the tone for his game.

He was eventually subbed off in the 61st minute for Marco Asensio and received some rather loud boos by the home fans.

But how did Bale react? Well, not very well.

Earlier on in the season, Bale went home early after Real Madrid's 2-0 loss to Real Sociedad.

And he did exactly the same thing on Saturday.

Marca report: "After just a few minutes on the bench beside Marcelo, Bale set off for the dressing room and from there he went home, not even waiting until the game had ended."

Many Real Madrid fans are not happy with his performances or his attitude, and surely this will only antagonise them further.

That isn't an attitude that is going to win him any plaudits.

You can sympathise with Bale for being disappointed with his performance, but to not even see out the rest of the game is just poor from him.

After the game Solari insisted that Bale, as well as Marcelo and Asensio, are still important to the team.

"They are still important," he told a press conference on Friday, per Goal.

"Bale has played every game since returning from injury and is scoring goals.

"We all know what Marcelo means and Asensio has played since he came back and scored in Amsterdam [against Ajax in the Champions League] the goal that gives us the advantage.

"All are important, not only those who start the matches. Titles are earned with full squads."
