It has been reported that another WWE legend has sadly passed away.Several news outlets have now confirmed the sad reports that King Kong Bundy, Christopher Alan Pallies, has passed away at the age of 61. It's currently unclear as to what lead to his passing. The news was first reported by wrestling promoter David Herro on Twitter, and WWE producer Shane Helms also commented on Bundy's passing. Herro told Wrestling Inc as well that he has confirmed the passing with Bundy's family.Bundy is well remembered by many WWE fans as he was the heel to Hulk Hogan's babyface in the company during the 1980s.He faced Hogan for the WWF Championship in the main event of the second WrestleMania in 1986 inside a steel cage, a match which he lost. This was the first-ever singles WrestleMania main event, as well as the first steel cage match at the show.

Bundy also had a match at the very first Showcase of the Immortals, where he defeated SD Jones in just nine seconds. Until 2008, this was the shortest match in WrestleMania history.

Bundy was well known for being able to overpower and destroy his opponents, splashing them before demanding the referee count to five to show he had completely destroyed them.

He quickly became an iconic personality for the WWF in that time period thanks to his large frame, bellowing voice, and executing exactly how to play that role to perfection.

Bundy teamed up with Lord Littlebrook and Little Tokyo in a mixed tag team match vs Hillbilly Jim, The Haiti Kid and Little Beaver at WrestleMania III.

However, he was disqualified from the clash when he attacked Beaver, breaking the rules of the match that the full-sized wrestlers couldn't attack the smaller tag team partners.

Bundy's run in the WWF began to slow down when Andre the Giant turned heel and began to emerge as the top monster in the company. He exited the WWF in February 1988.

He returned to WWF in 1994, once more as a heel, but this time as a member of Ted DiBiase's Million Dollar Corporation. This lead to a match at WrestleMania 11 vs The Undertaker, which he lost.

He was never positioned again as the top heel in the company and exited WWF again in late 1995.

RIP King Kong Bundy, you will be missed.
