Manchester United may not have a permanent manager in place, but their plans for the summer transfer window are already starting to unfold.

Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly is reportedly a top target for the Red Devils, who have lacked a world-class centre-back since the days of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic.

The 27-year-old would cost United at least £80m, but if they were prepared to spend £75m on Harry Maguire and Toby Alderweireld last year that shouldn't be a problem.

Next up is Jadon Sancho - the 18-year-old Borussia Dortmund winger who's set to dominate headlines this summer as United and Paris Saint-Germain prepare to go head-to-head.

Sancho is attracting huge interest across Europe amid a season where he's scored eight goals and assisted 10 in 24 Bundesliga appearances.

He's widely regarded as one of football's hottest prospects and according to an exclusive from the Mirror's Adrian Kajumba, United want to make him the first £100m Englishman.

It remains to be seen whether United's interest in Sancho is genuine and if they will make a move, but one fan has dug deeper into the rumours and made some interesting findings.

Reddit user fmc96 has discovered that Kajumba has "good ties" with Sancho and his representatives and was the first to report Dortmund's interest in the teenager back in 2017.

Kajumba was also the first to report an agreement between Manchester City and Dortmund over an £8m move, so the rumours certainly seem to have some foundation.

"Out of interest I checked out the journalist who wrote the big exclusive on United being prepared to pay £100m+ for Sancho," the post reads. "The journalist, Adrian Kajumba, has good ties to Sancho and his representatives and has had for some time.

"He's gotten multiple interviews with him whilst in Germany (an example from a year ago, there's been more since then), was the first to report Dortmund's initial interest in Jadon and then the first to report of an agreement for him to move to Germany.

"A quick check of his Twitter and a consequent search of him reporting frequently on Sancho would lead one to the conclusion that this is actually a rather serious report, and source, on a massive transfer story."

Credit to the United fan, that's a solid piece of research. It's also worth noting that Pep Guardiola has previously said a return to City is very unlikely for Sancho.
