He's considered one of boxing's all-time greats.

A Ukrainian brute with over 50 knockouts, 64 wins, and the record for the longest cumulative title reign of any boxer.

For 4,382 days he reigned supreme in the heavyweight division. 25 title wins puts him second in the all-time ranking behind only Joe Louis.

But Wladimir Klitschko's career didn't quite have the swansong finish.

Two defeats in his last two fights, both to British opponents, were his first defeats in 11-and-a-half years.

After retiring in 2017 following defeat to Anthony Joshua for the IBF, vacant WBA and IBO heavyweight titles, Klitschko may be cutting that retirement short.

The 42-year-old is reportedly sitting on an eight-figure offer from streaming service DAZN, according to World Boxing News.

The deal would sign Klitschko to three final professional fights before he moved onto become an ambassador of the company, leading him to earn a percentage of revenue from the company after his initial $40 million for the three fights.

Klitschko wouldn't be the first to join the ranks at DAZN.

Jose Mourinho, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar have already pledged allegiance to the company, whilst Gennady Golovkin is on the brink of being the latest boxing recruit.

The fights would see Klitschko head to Germany for his comeback, where 50 of his 69 fights took place, including 19 of his first 20.

The second fight would pitch him against the king of the division Joshua in a rematch of their 2017 bout, in which Klitschko knocked AJ down in the sixth round before being stopped himself in the 11th.

Joshua has also fought on DAZN, but would fill the gaps in AJ's schedule with the current champion stalling over fights with the top names in the heavyweight division.

The third fight would be dependent on Klitschko's performances in his first two fights, but could potentially see a rematch of the Tyson Fury fight in 2015, which Fury won by unanimous decision and led to Klitschko relinquishing his WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO and lineal heavyweight titles for the final time.

However, the Fury rematch is a long way off, no matter how much the boxing world would love to see it again.
