The Champions League tie between Roma and Porto was finely poised going into the second leg.The Italian side managed to come away with a narrow lead from the first leg in Rome.Roma's rising star, Nicolo Zaniolo, scored twice in the final 20 minutes for Roma as they built a 2-0 lead. But Adrián López struck late on for Porto meaning there was still all to play for in the return leg.And the second leg was another tight contest.

Francisco Soares scored the opener for Porto after just 26 minutes, only for Danielle de Rossi to convert from the penalty spot 11 minutes later.

Moussa Marega's goal just after the break meant the game headed into extra-time.

There was a familiar face lining up in defence for Porto.

Pepe, the former Real Madrid defender, joined the Portuguese club in January and was given a starting berth in the tie.

The 36-year-old has been a tremendous defender in his time, but he's most commonly known for his play-acting on the pitch.

He's gone down numerous times in the past under little or no contact in an attempt to get his opponent a red card.

But it was in fact Edin Dzeko that did just that on the night in a clash with Pepe.

The two players came into blows shortly after Marega's goal in the second-half.

As Pepe shouted some unpleasantries at Dzeko, the Bosnian striker then went down rather comically clutching his face.

Watch the incident below:

That is just embarrassing.

Why Dzeko felt the need to go down in just baffling.

Gary Lineker managed to make some humour out of the situation, saying: "How Dzeko survived this Pepe head-butt I’ll never know".

The two players both received yellow cards after their clash, meaning Pepe will miss Porto's next match if they manage to win in extra-time.
