At the end of the first-half between Hibs and Rangers, a rather nasty incident occured between a Hibs fan and Rangers captain James Tavernier.Tavernier went over to collect the ball from the touchline as a home fan jumped over the advertising hoardings and aimed to kick the ball away. The pair then clashed and were involved in a pushing match. The fan was then seen aiming a punch at the right-back.Security quickly dragged the supporter away from the scene.Rangers led the match 1-0 at half-time following Daniel Candeias' strike just before the break. The ugly incident happened just one week after a Hibs fan threw a bottle of Buckfast at Celtic's Scott Sinclair during a Scottish Cup clash at Easter Road.It led to Hibs manager, Paul Heckingbottom, pleaded with his fans to behave themselves ahead of the league game with Rangers.

"Just behave," Heckingbottom said ahead of the Rangers match. "No one wants to see it.

"People can get carried away, I understand that, people may have been out for a few drinks before.

"I understand that but there is still a way that you have to behave at a football match.

"Just like I speak to our players about representing the club, our fans represent our club as well.

"We want to be the best football team on the pitch, as good as we possibly can be, and we want to be the best supported team off the pitch, as good as we possibly can be as well.

"Everybody should be doing all they can to stop it. The safety of players is paramount."

It seems that one fan didn't listen to Heckingbottom...
