WWE Fastlane is now in the books and it saw the first-ever defence of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships.

Sasha Banks and Bayley became the inaugural champions at Elimination Chamber, and they defended their freshly-claimed straps against the formidable duo of Nia Jax and Tamina.

Jax and Tamina formed a partnership months ago and used their size to dominate the match.

The champions were able to successfully defend their titles though, with Bayley successfully executing a roll-up on Jax for the three-count.

That was something the losers didn't take so well, and continued getting physical with the champs after the closing bell had rung.

Taking their assaults to the outside, Banks was thrown over the commentators desk by Jax, a place where none-other than Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix was sitting.

WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix got physical at Fastlane prompting speculation of a WrestleMania return to the ring

No stranger to coming face-to-face with Jax after her appearance at the 2018 Royal Rumble, Phoenix decided to confront the pair over their actions, but after landing a blow on the face of Tamina, she was forcefully sent flying by Jax to the point where it looked like she had hit harder than intended.

After being tossed into the ring and hit with a crushing Jax leg drop, the stricken 'Glamazon' was aided by none-other than her former Divas Of Doom tag partner Natalya.

The duo got together in late 2010 and teamed with each other for well-over a year, but this time Natalya's efforts were to no avail as she was also laid out by Jax and Tamina.

WWE clearly want us to forget about the 2018 Rumble after seeing this considering Natalya actually turned on Phoenix and eliminated her, but it seems as though we may be getting something much bigger than a brief appearance in the coming weeks.

The company wouldn't incorporate a retired star like Phoenix for nothing, and the involvement of herself and Natalya it looks as though they may re-unite for some revenge at WrestleMania, and perhaps both teams could be challenging Bayley and Sasha for the titles.
