Real Madrid's season just never got going.

They have been knocked out of the Copa del Rey and the Champions League in previous weeks and are 12 points behind Barcelona in the race for the La Liga title.

Sergio Ramos has been attracting most of the headlines throughout the past month.

He deliberately got himself booked in the first leg against Ajax and subsequently missed the game at the Bernabeu; which Real Madrid lost.

He is also reported to have had arguments with Florentino Perez and Marcelo in recent times.

Ramos is never one to shy away and has always given his honest opinion on matters.

And he has taken to Instagram to address a number of issues that have circulated in recent weeks.

Ramos admitted the yellow card against Ajax was a mistake.

"Absolutely it was an error and I take the blame 200%," he wrote.

He claimed that he had no problems with the president.

"Dressing room issues are discussed and resolved in the dressing room," he wrote. "There's no problem whatsoever and everybody has the same interest: Real Madrid."

Ramos is said to have criticised his teammates in the dressing room after the poor results but the Spaniard played it down.

"We always talk and motivate each other in the dressing room and always in a constructive way," he said.

Ramos claimed that Marcelo is like a 'brother' to him.

"We have exchanges in every training session," he wrote. "It's part of working with pressure. But it’s just an anecdote like so many others that happen from day to day. Marcelo is like a brother to me."

And Ramos also addressed speculation about under-fire boss, Santiago Solari.

"It’s a decision that’s not ours to make and in which we never interfere. We have enormous respect for the position and we always support the Real Madrid coach."

The 32-year-old then signed off with an inspirational message.

"No one name makes the legend of Real Madrid, but we have all written that legend together.
Together we have to work for the future and restore our hope," he concluded.
