Manchester United are lining up a £7 million bid for Borussia Monchengladbach central midfielder Marco Reus, according to Talksport.

United have been ready busying themselves to bring in more young players as they try to build for the future and have had rave reviews about Reus.

Despite Borussia having a disappointing season, the 21-year-old has shone and looks set to have a big future away from the Bundesliga side.

Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted he will not bring any players to Old Trafford in January but is actively looking for players in the summer.

Bastian Schweinsteiger is another player Manchester United want to bring in from Germany as he is available on a free transfer and reportedly wants to leave Bayern Munich.

There is a chance both could join but it is more than likely Fergie will have to chose, with whoever does move to Manchester United being touted as Paul Scholes’ replacement.

Reus is now in his second season with Gladbach, having signed for just £1 million from Rot Weiss Ahlen and has scored six goals in 15 games this season.
