Four English clubs have discovered which teams they’ll be facing in the Champions League quarter-finals after the draw was made in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday morning.
Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham all remain in contention to win Europe’s premier cup competition after securing their places in the last eight.
City are currently the bookmakers’ favourites to become European champions for the first time in their history after hammering Schalke 10-2 over two legs. They are followed by Barcelona who, inspired by Lionel Messi, thrashed Lyon 5-1 on Wednesday night.
Cristiano Ronaldo was the star of the show on Tuesday, scoring a remarkable hat-trick - just as he said he would - to help Juventus advance to the next round at Atletico Madrid’s expense.
The Italian giants are currently the third favourites to win this season’s competition, ahead of last year’s runners-up Liverpool, who recorded a hugely-impressive 3-1 win over Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena to book their place in the quarters.

United, meanwhile, are in the last eight after one of the most surprising results in the Round of 16. Their dramatic 3-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes will live long in the memory.
So too will Ajax’s superb 4-1 win over Real Madrid at the Bernabeu. The Dutch side have a very talented group of young players and are a serious threat to the teams left in the competition.
Tottenham are also capable of beating any team on their day and breezed past Borussia Dortmund to reach this stage of the Champions League, while FC Porto are the team that the other seven clubs would have been desperate to be paired with prior to the day.
So, here’s the Champions League quarter-final draw in full…
Ajax v Juventus
Liverpool v FC Porto
Tottenham v Man City
Man Utd v Barcelona
Some extremely tasty ties there to look forward to.
The first legs will take place on April 9 and 10, with the return legs pencilled in for April 16-17.
The four teams who advance from the quarters will then play at the end of April and the beginning of May to determine which two clubs progress to the Champions League final.
The semi-final draw was also made...
Tottenham or Man City v Ajax or Juventus.
Barcelona or Man Utd v Liverpool or Porto.
The final will take place on June 1 at Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano stadium.
