Chris Jericho is one of the biggest superstars the WWE has ever had. There isn't a lot he hasn't achieved with the company.

Being one of WWE's biggest stars during the Attitude Era and beyond, Y2J's iconic career includes being a six-time world champion, a nine-time Intercontinental Champion, a seven-time world Tag Team Champion, a two-time United States Champion, a Hardcore Champion, and a European Champion.

He also part of the main event of WrestleMania 18, which was a singles match for the Undisputed WWF Championship vs Triple H. However, Jericho was unsuccessful in his title defense.

Jericho admitted in a recent interview with Inside the Ropes that he's never watched his WrestleMania 18 match back, not because of the loss, but due to the fact it followed the memorable Hulk Hogan vs The Rock clash.

Although Hogan vs Rock didn't go on last, many WWE fans and Chris himself viewed the match as the main event because of the hype around it. Dubbed Icon vs Icon, it was even heavy featured on all the promo posters for the event.

Y2J said: “Let’s be honest, the main event and the fact that it was on last, but the main event of the show was Hogan and Rock and I knew it. Most people would be pitching for their match to go on last, I was pitching for it not to go on last.”

“I was like, ‘How do you follow Hogan and Rock?’ and Triple H — rightfully so he was fighting for the title match to be last, but we couldn’t follow it, we just couldn’t and you could see the air go out of the room — that’s a match I’ve never watched it back. Because I remember being kinda disappointed in it, you know?”

Jericho even recalled a conversation with CM Punk, who left the WWE due to the fact he never the main event of a WrestleMania.

“I said dude, you worked with the Undertaker at WrestleMania — that’s the main event, any Taker match’ — he says ‘Well you can say that because you were on last.’ I said, ‘Okay I was on last, but I wasn’t the main event.”

While Jericho can technically say he was part of a main event of WrestleMania, it hard to disagree with him that Hogan vs Rock stole the show and the spotlight from his match afterward with The Game.
