Arsenal fans are excited about the club’s return to wearing Adidas kits from next season. The north London club last wore Adidas in 1994, with Nike taking over at the start of the 1994-95 campaign.Puma then started producing Arsenal’s kits in 2014 but their designs haven’t received a positive response. And supporters are thrilled about the £300 million deal with Adidas, which was signed back in October. The new contract begins in July but photos have leaked that may reveal the designs for the 2019-20 home shirt.

The shirt, which features Lucas Torreira’s name on the back, has a white round-neck collar and red Adidas strips across the shoulders.

It has a slight throwback feel to it, and several supporters are hopeful that it proves to be genuine.

Arsenal's 'leaked' 2019/20 kit

Arsenal announced their agreement with Adidas, which will land them around £60 million per season for five years, in October.

And the news was welcomed by club legend Ian Wright, who wrote on social media: “So pleased Adidas are back sponsoring after this coming season. Especially after seeing what Puma have come up with."

Wright will be hopeful that Arsenal get to show off their new kits in the Champions League.

Unai Emery’s side are currently locked in a fierce battle with Tottenham, Manchester United and Chelsea to finish in the top four.

The Gunners’ 2-0 win against United last weekend saw them move into fourth place with eight Premier League games remaining.

They can also qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League, of course.

Arsenal are through to the quarter-final after overcoming Rennes but they’ve been handed an extremely tough draw in Napoli.

The Italians, currently second in Serie A, are among the favourites to go all the way in the competition.

It’s time for Emery, who won the competition three times with Sevilla, to prove his worth by guiding the Gunners past Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
