With a slew of world-class talent and a recent World Cup trophy under their belts, it's easy to see why many consider France one of the world's top footballing nations.

Being the birthplace of such legends as Zinedine Zidane, Thierry Henry, Laurent Blanc and more, it's certainly a nation rich with history.

Twenty years after winning their last World Cup on home soil in 1998, Les Bleus bested underdogs Croatia in a dominant 4-2 victory.

The country's golden boy Kylian Mbappe has been tearing it up for PSG this season, managing an impressive 25 goals and nine assists in 22 league games.

Meanwhile, another of France's most popular stars is Atletico Madrid forward, Antoine Greizmann. The 27-year-old has managed 12 goals and seven assists so far in 27 La Liga matches.

Griezmann and Mbappe tallied four goals each during last summer's tournament, including a goal apiece in the final.

Both players played an integral part in France's World Cup success last summer. And one couple, in particular, have attempted to make their own unique tribute to the pair.

As originally reported by radio station, France Bleu Limousin, French authorities have denied two parents' wish to name their child 'Griezmann Mbappe'.

According to French law, judges are able to rule against names that are contrary to the interest of the child.

The baby was born in November in Brive, southern France. After an initial hearing shortly after the child's birth, authorities have now ruled against the parents' wishes.

In 2015, a French court prevented a couple from naming their baby girl 'Nutella' after the famous hazelnut spread.

The parents will now have to come up with another name for their child, but they can still settle for something along the lines of 'Antoine' or 'Kylian'.
