Last night saw the UFC enter the United Kingdom once again, with third-ranked Welterweight Darren Till in main event action. Not seen inside the Octagon since his September submission defeat to Tyron Woodley in Dallas, 'The Gorilla' was looking to get back to winning ways against the number 11-ranked Jorge Masvidal, who was coming off the back of two straight losses.Till floored the American within the first 10 seconds of the fight but couldn't take advantage of Masvidal lying on his back on the mat, something which he would pay for three minutes into round two.Out of seemingly nowhere, Masdival landed a straight right and then a huge left hook to the chin of Till, sending him sprawling to the canvas and referee Marc Goddard stepped in straight away to call off the bout. One fellow 170-pounder who was watching on at the O2 was newly-acquired Ben Askren, the undefeated former ONE champion who defeated Robbie Lawler at UFC 235 earlier this month.

It was expected that Askren would confront Till after the bout should he win to potentially set up a huge clash in the summer, but it did not happen following his defeat.

In the fight before Till v Masvidal, British fighter Leon Edwards scored a split decision victory over Gunnar Nielsen, and following the nights action called for a summer clash with 'Gamebred'.

But the two would come to blows much sooner than that as Masvidal spoke with ESPN following his shock victory.

Footage shows Edwards inaudibly calling-out the 34-year-old, before Masvidal walks away from his interview and is seen to strike the Birmingham-born fighter multiple times before security intervene.

Edwards was left with facial lacerations following the incident and it's unclear whether or not anyone will be officially punished by the UFC for the altercation.

Ariel Helwani reported that local police were investigating the incident at the fighters' hotel, but Edwards will not be pressing charges.

It seems like all roads lead to a bout between the two to try and further themselves in the 170 division rankings, providing Dana White doesn't decide to punish Masvidal for his actions.
