Liverpool are back top of the Premier League after a dramatic 2-1 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage.Their win puts them two points ahead of Manchester City, having played an extra game.Jurgen Klopp’s side had to wait until the 26th-minute to go ahead in west London.Sadio Mane played a lovely one-two with Roberto Firmino and fired home his 11th goal in as many games.Mane has now reached his goal tally for last season (20) and drew level on Premier League goals with Mohamed Salah.
But Fulham shocked Liverpool with 15 minutes remaining.
Substitute James Milner sliced the ball wildly in the air, leaving Virgil van Dijk with the difficult task to deal with the ball in the wind.
Van Dijk attempted to head the ball back to Alisson but he allowed former Liverpool player Ryan Babel to sneak in and equalise.
But Liverpool retook the lead just minutes later.
Salah's shot was parried to Mane's feet by Sergio Rico. The Fulham goalkeeper then brought down Mane with referee Craig Pawson pointing to the penalty spot.
Milner stepped up cooly slotted it home to take Liverpool back ahead of Man City.
It certainly wasn't the most convincing win for the Reds but they now enter the international break top of the league.
They now have seven games left as they attempt to beat City in this enthralling title race.
City's game in hand will come against Manchester United at Old Trafford - a fixture on Wednesday, April, 24.
For Liverpool, they face Spurs in two weeks time at Anfield.
