Canal+ journalist Olivier Tallaron reported on Sunday that Mario Balotelli was planning an incredible celebration if he scored for Marseille against Paris Saint-Germain.Balotelli was apparently going to unveil a t-shirt he was wearing underneath his Marseille shirt that featured Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford’s face on it.It would have been a joke at PSG’s expense after Rashford’s penalty knocked them out of the Champions League. It sounded like something Balotelli would do, so many believed Tallaron to be telling the truth. But the Italian striker has now come out and denied the rumour.

Balotelli has called the story “bulls**t” on his Instagram Story and pleaded for fake stories to stop being written about him.

“This is a LIE!” he wrote.

Balotelli denies Rashford t-shirt rumour

“Stop creating fake stories over me,” he added.

It seems at this point that Balotelli’s past has opened himself up for such stories to be written about him.

The list of controversies is endless, from throwing a dart at a Manchester City youth team player to letting off fireworks in his own home.

Would unveiling a shirt with Rashford’s face on at the Parc des Princes really be the craziest thing that Super Mario has done? Probably not.

Tallaron’s rumour seems to have upset him, though, which is a shame.

The 28-year-old has made a fine start to his Marseille career, which began in January after his Nice contract was terminated.

Balotelli has scored five goals in eight appearances and there’s every chance that Marseille will extend his stay beyond this season if he keeps it up.

He was unable to get on the scoresheet as Marseille fell to a 3-1 defeat at PSG, though.

Angel Di Maria scored a brace after Kylian Mbappe’s opener as Thomas Tuchel’s side claimed their 25th win in 28 Ligue 1 games.

With a 20-point lead at the top of the table, it’s a matter of when, not if, PSG seal yet another French title.
