Cristiano Ronaldo has been charged for his 'cojones' celebration against Atletico. After scoring his second goal of the night, Ronaldo turned to the crowd and imitated the celebration Diego Simeone used from the first leg.Simeone was given a fine and now Ronaldo has been charged of 'improper conduct'.A statement from UEFA read, per the Independent: "Following a disciplinary investigation conducted by a UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector, in accordance with the Article 55 of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations (DR), disciplinary proceedings have been opened following the UEFA Champions League round of 16 match between Juventus Football Club and Club Atlético de Madrid, played on 12 March in Italy."Simeone was only given a £17,000 fine and did not receive a suspension.

But Ronaldo's punishment could be more severe and there is even a possibility he will be banned for Juventus' Champions League quarter-final games against Ajax.

Massimiliano Allegri said on the weekend that he didn't think Ronaldo would receive a ban from UEFA.

"I think everyone celebrated their own way on the field and in the stands," he said, per BleacherReport.

"I saw nothing strange, just a celebration. There won't be a ban."

Many perceived Ronaldo's celebration as a way of mocking Simeone, but the Argentinian didn't see it that way.

Speaking after Atletico were knocked out of the Champions League, Simeone told Sky Italia, per the Daily Star: “Ronaldo is the best in the world, he can put in these performances on big nights.

“He will have seen how I did it at the Wanda Metropolitano and, like me, was trying to show his character.”
