It's looking increasingly likely that Eden Hazard will leave Chelsea this summer.

The Belgian winger has been at Chelsea for seven seasons but it seems he's destined for a move away.

Hazard was the subject of intense speculation from Real Madrid last summer.

He has said on numerous occasions that his dream is to play for Los Blancos.

"Real Madrid is the best club in the world," he said in October, per ESPN. "I don't want to lie, it is my dream since I was a kid.

"In my head, sometimes I wake up in the morning and think I want to go. Sometimes I think I want to stay. It is a hard decision. It is my future. I am 27 and I will turn 28 in January.

"It is also when you have a dream and you want to make it happen. It is like I have said a lot of times: if I leave I will be happy, I know if I stay I will be happy."

The links to Real Madrid have continued and they were further strengthened after Zinedine Zidane's appointment as manager last week.

Zidane is said to have been promised a £300 million budget from Florentino Perez, with Hazard at the forefront of his options.

And now it seems Real have made their move.

According to Duncan Castles, Real Madrid have made an initial offer for Hazard.

The exact fee has not been stated but it is believed that Chelsea have rejected the offer.

However, Chelsea are conscious that with a single season remaining on the Belgium international's contract and Hazard refusing to extend it, a sale may be the only viable economic option open.

Castles also adds that Chelsea believe it is still possible to realise a club-record €100million fee for Hazard.

It seems that if Real Madrid decide to up their offer, a deal could be reached very soon.

The report also adds that Real will go forward with a move for Neymar even if they do sign Hazard.

If they are able to complete the signings for both players, Los Blancos would have a frightening team once again.
