Manchester City's bid to do the quadruple this season is very much on track. On Saturday the Citizens recovered from 2-0 down against Swansea City to win 3-2 in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. They face Brighton in the semi-finals.Last week they thrashed Schalke 10-2 on aggregate to book their place in the next round of the Champions League - which they're favourites to win - against Tottenham. In the Premier League, Liverpool are currently top but City are only two points behind, in superior form and have a game in hand. And of course, they beat Chelsea 3-0 in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley last month.Winning all four trophies would be an incredible achievement for Pep Guardiola's men and you wouldn't put it past them to do it.However, Jose Mourinho claimed earlier this month that there's an element of luck involved with City's form this season.According to the former Manchester United manager, City have been very fortunate with the teams they've drawn in the cup competitions:

"Man City [are] having a very good season, but honestly, they are so lucky in the draws."

Focusing on the Champions League, City managed to avoid Liverpool, Barcelona or Juventus in the draw for the quarter-finals and instead got Tottenham.

Spurs are by no means pushovers and City could have drawn easier opponents in Porto or Ajax, but equally they could have done a lot worse.

It's been the same story in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup and one Man Utd fan has tweeted evidence of just how lucky City have been.

Here's a breakdown of City's draws/opponents in each competition this season:

Carabao Cup

Oxford United, Fulham, Leicester City, Burton Albion, Chelsea

FA Cup

Rotherham, Burnley, Newport County, Swansea, Brighton

Champions League

Lyon, Shakhtar Donetsk, Hoffenheim, Schalke 04, Tottenham

Turns out Mourinho was on to something, because apart from Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final, City haven't faced a single top club in English cup competitions.

They've had an easy ride in the Champions League, too, but that should change if they beat Spurs to reach the semi-finals.
