This week it was revealed that the Wrestling Observer Newsletter subscribers had voted WWE NXT as the best weekly wrestling show of 2018.With the wrestlers at their disposal and the guidance of the likes of Triple H, it's not hard to see why it's so revered by many. But as it grows to become more successful, more superstars make the transition to Raw and SmackDown on a yearly basis.

In late 2018 the likes of Nikki Cross, Lacey Evans, EC3 and Heavy Machinery jumped up to Raw and SmackDown, and they will definitely lose Ricochet and Aleister Black following WrestleMania weekend, the pair having already become a weekly fixture on the main roster.

It looked as though Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa would follow suit, but now that Ciampa has had to have neck surgery it seems as though plans have changed for Gargano and he may stay in NXT for a while longer.

With further possible call-ups during the Superstar Shake-Up in April, there's every chance that some main roster talents could go to NXT on a short-term basis to reinvigorate their characters and give the talent pool a bit of a boost in depth.

In a pre-NXT TakeOver: War Games 2 conference call back in November 2018, Triple H stated: "You could see some talent that have been on Raw or SmackDown go into NXT.

Much like you might have talent that doesn't have a lot of exposure on SmackDown but moves to Raw and it's a game-changer for them."

And in a video produced for NXT's social media channels, they noted five superstars that they would 'love to see on the black and yellow brand'.

The company listed the under-used Dana Brooke, the currently inactive Fandango and former Intercontinental and Tag Team Champion Luke Harper as stars that they would like to see return to Full Sail, but the final two may be surprising.

The video hints that multi-time tag champions Sheamus and Cesaro could make a temporary move to NXT to take on their best teams, which would include War Raiders and Undisputed Era.

Former world champion Sheamus never appeared on the brand but Cesaro had a classic feud with Sami Zayn back in 2013 which ran into the following year.

Aside from their victory at Fastlane over Kofi Kingston, The Bar haven't picked up many wins recently and a short stint in NXT could do them the world of good.
