For months on end now the future of AJ Styles within has been vigorously speculated about.

It's always been expected that The Phenomenal One would re-sign with the company once his contract expired in April 2019, but no news from dirt-sheets has ever come out about him penning a new deal.

And with the creation of All Elite Wrestling in late 2018, with his former Bullet Club partners The Young Bucks, rumours swirled that he may end up joining forces with them as their promotion looks to get off to a strong start.

Added to this, two of the men that he arrived with in WWE, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, are reportedly not re-signing in September despite being offered multi-million dollar contracts.

It was speculated a few months ago that Styles would want to spend more time at home with his family, which makes sense considering he has four young children and has been touring the world for years.

So a deal with a reduced amount of dates would make a huge amount of sense although things at that point were merely speculation.

PWInsider have indicated that they've been informed by several sources on the future of Styles, and for his WWE fans it's all positive news.

Mike Johnson has reported that the two parties have 'agreed on all the major points' relating to a new deal.

Johnson added that there are some within the company who he's spoken to that believe the contract is already signed.

In addition to this, Styles is slated to face Samoa Joe on WWE's European tour in the month of May, which indicates more than anything that he will be staying put.

Despite losing the WWE Championship back in November to Daniel Bryan, Styles is still an integral part of SmackDown Live and will take on Randy Orton at WrestleMania 35 on April 7.

That could potentially have been Styles' last match with the company, but his tenure in WWE looks to have been extended for a while longer at least.
