Sadio Mane is in the form of his life right now.

He is very much leading Liverpool’s title charge.

The Senegalese forward has scored 11 goals in his last 11 games, including five in his last three.

He’s taken on the role of being Liverpool’s main man while Mohamed Salah’s form has dipped.

Only Sergio Aguero has scored more goals than Mane’s 17 in the Premier League and it’s strange that he isn’t being pushed more for a Player of the Year nomination.

Liverpool’s rise under Jurgen Klopp will make it easier for the club to hold on to their best players but they still need to start winning trophies.

If this season ends without any silverware, then it’ll make it easier for other clubs to convince Liverpool’s players to leave.

Real Madrid interested in Sadio Mane

That’s what Real Madrid are reportedly hoping to do with Mane.

Los Blancos were linked with a move for the 26-year-old last summer but it failed to materialise.

Yet according to France Football, Zinedine Zidane wants to relaunch attempts to bring Mane to the Bernabeu in the summer.

Real have no doubt been impressed by Mane’s performances this season and Zidane wants to add him as part of a major overhaul of the squad.

The Independent reported after Zidane’s return to the club that he will be given £300 million to spend when the summer transfer window opens.

Mane would go a long way to improve a squad that has disappointed this season.

Zidane expressed his fears about how far the team could go this season when he left at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.

Cristiano Ronaldo also departed and Real have floundered.

Both Julen Lopetegui and his replacement, Santiago Solari, have been sacked and the club have been underwhelming on the pitch.

They sit third in La Liga, 12 points behind leaders Barcelona, and were knocked out of the Champions League in the last 16 after losing 4-1 to Ajax at home.

Zidane knows the squad needs fresh investment, and it could start with signing Mane.
