Zinedine Zidane returned to Real Madrid last week, less than 12 months after walking away.

He's been reinstated to bring the club back to its best after a poor season that's seen both Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari shown the exit door.

To do that, the Frenchman has reportedly been promised a £300 million war chest to overhaul the squad.

It's been a while since Real have signed a real 'Galactico' so it's expected to happen this summer, with names like Eden Hazard and Neymar being linked.

It's also suggested that Los Blancos are very keen to sign David de Gea, a player they've been chasing for a number of years now.

That seems like a strange move, considering Madrid bought Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea just last summer.

But that, of course, happened when Zidane was away and it's fair to say that the Belgian hasn't exactly made the best start to life at the Bernabeu.

He was also dropped for Zidane's first game back against Celta Vigo, although the boss said that was simply because he wanted to give Keylor Navas an opportunity to play.

Still, the rumour mill has been turning and there's some suggestion that Real will dip back into the market for De Gea once again.

According to The Sun, Courtois could be used as part of a sensational swap deal that sees the Manchester United goalkeeper arrive in Madrid, while he returns to the Premier League.

The paper is reporting that the two clubs have been in talks about exchanging players and Courtois was offered the chance to move to Old Trafford.

However, he's snubbed that idea and wants to stay at Real - but apparently, if he is forced out the door, his preference would be Paris Saint-Germain.

It seems bizarre that the Belgian's time in Madrid could be so short-lived.

But with Zidane returning and favouring De Gea, who is yet to sign a new deal at United, it's a real possibility that the former Chelsea keeper could be forced to leave.
