Kalidou Koulibaly has emerged into one of the world's best defenders at Napoli. The Senegalese defender has been a major reason why Napoli have the second best defence in Serie A, having conceded just 23 goals from their opening 28 games.Fabio Capello even described him as Napoli's Ronaldo last month.“The Ronaldo of Napoli? Without a doubt Koulibaly," he said, per FootballItalia. "He’s a monstrous, talented defender. Right now, he’s among the best in the world.”

However, there's a chance he may not be at the Italian club much longer.

His name has long been linked with a host of the world's best clubs, including Manchester United.

Back in December, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis even admitted that the club had rejected a £95 million offer for him.

"[Jose] Mourinho wanted him, we rejected £95 million," De Laurentiis said, per Goal. "But now it's impossible that he leaves Napoli."

Man United still need a central defender or two and there's every chance that the club will come back in for him in the summer.

And it seems at least some fans of the club want him too.

Koulibaly is currently on international duty with Senegal.

Footage has emerged of a number of Senegalese fans urging him to join Manchester United.

A banner was unveiled which read: "Koulibaly, Come to United".

Sadio Mane, Liverpool's winger, saw the banner and he just had to respond.

Walking towards the fans, Mane pointed at the banner and made a thumbs down gesture.

He then wagged his finger as if the move was not going to happen.

Watch it below:

It's no doubt that Mane will be trying to convince him to join Liverpool this summer.

Just imagine a defensive partnership of Virgil van Dijk and Koulibaly... frightening.

Koulibaly addressed speculation about his future last month and admitted he was delighted with the interest in him.

"I'm delighted that many teams follow me but I want to demonstrate on the field to be at the level of the greatest," he told Rai Sport, per the Evening Standard.

"I do not know if I'm one of the strongest defenders in the world, I always try to give my best.

"Since I'm here, I want to grow up with Napoli, I have a lot of motivation to go on and I want to keep doing that."
