Thibaut Courtois certainly didn't cover himself in glory last night against Russia. After a troubling few weeks with Real Madrid, the former Chelsea man must've been hoping for some reprieve with Belgium.Courtois excelled with the Red Devils at the World Cup, winning the Golden Glove for his efforts. However, he produced arguably his worst mistake in the Belgium jersey yet last night in a Euro 2020 qualifier against Russia.Courtois managed to trip over the ball in his own penalty area, putting it on a plate for Denis Cheryshev to equalise.

You can view the footage here.

Thankfully for Courtois, he was bailed out by his former Chelsea teammate Hazard, who scored two goals to earn Belgium a comfortable 3-1 win over Russia.

And after the game, Hazard could not resist a little dig at the goalkeeper, who he thinks has been watching a few too many videos of his dribbling.

Hazard jokingly said to reporters: “Thibaut Courtois watches a lot of videos of my actions and then he tries to copy me. The problem is: he is much taller than me, so it isn’t that easy.”

Courtois then followed that up by saying: “I made a similar error when playing for Chelsea.”

That mistake came against Hull back in 2015, but the Blues went on to win that game 3-2, so all was forgotten.

Courtois faces a very difficult end to the season domestically after Zinedine Zidane's return as Real Madrid manager.

The Los Blancos legend has already reinstated Keylor Navas, with the Costa Rican handed the number one jersey in his first game back against Celta Vigo - which Real won 2-0.

Navas was a mainstay under the Frenchman during his three consecutive Champions League wins and Courtois has a huge task proving himself to Zidane.

Maybe cut out the dribbling, Thibaut...
