Callum Hudson-Odoi's highlights from England debut in 5-0 win vs Czech Republic

Callum Hudson-Odoi on his senior England debut

It's hard for England fans not to be excited about the national team right now.

After the success of a World Cup semi-final in the summer, the Three Lions have continued to improve under the astute leadership of Gareth Southgate.

The manager has ditched the 3-5-2 formation he used out in Russia, reverting to a four-man defence and the use of wingers.

And it has paid dividends, with England's rich abundance of wide talent thriving - especially Raheem Sterling.

The Manchester City man picked up an international hat-trick last night in the 5-0 win over Czech Republic.

England look serious contenders for Euro 2020 and their wide players will strike fear into the hearts of every defender.

Sterling, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Jesse Lingard are all at the peak of their powers right now and England revealed yet another weapon to use out wide last night; Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Chelsea's 18-year-old startled was promoted to the senior side after Rashford pulled out through injury, with Southgate handing him his senior debut.

Hudson-Odoi replaced Sterling on 70 minutes and made quite an impression on the game. You can watch the highlights of his cameo below.

Hudson-Odoi saw a lot of the ball after coming on, with his snap shot the catalyst for the own goal - scored by Tomas Kalas - to make it 5-0.

His game was far more than just about pace as well, demonstrating his passing ability and his knack of getting powerful shots away seemingly out of nowhere.

It begs the question; how is he not getting more game time at Stamford Bridge?

Reports of late have linked Hudson-Odoi with both Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund after the success of Sancho out in Germany this season.

The London-born winger needs regular game time to accommodate his talent and from an England perspective, a switch to the Bundesliga could be just what the doctor ordered.
